Currently a freshman at St. Cloud State University, Ben Storm was selected in the 6th round (153rd overall) by the Colorado Avalanche in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Storm currently has 1 point on the season (an assist against North Dakota on 11/1/2013), but certainly provides a lot of potential. The defenseman hails from Calumet, Michigan and lettered in hockey, football, golf and track. At 6’6″ and 215 pounds, Storm is able to use his body as a force in the dirty areas and to clear forwards out of the crease.
